Frecker Optical has been fabricating quality glass lenses for nearly 50 years. We’re proud to offer a full line of glass materials and specialty lenses for your patients needs.  Specialty lenses include Quadrifocal  pilot's lenses, high index lenses, Double Segs, Safety Wear, and X-Ray protective lenses.

X-ray Protective Eyewear

Schott SF-6 1.80 index leaded glass for X-Ray and radiation protection. This lens provides protection from scattered radiation in areas such as electro physiology, orthopedic surgery, radiology, catheterization lab, urologic procedures, and veterinarians.

Double Segs

The Double-Seg, or Double-D, design is an example of eyewear that has a D-shaped bifocal segment at the bottom of the lens and an upside-down "D-seg" at the top of the lens. The rest of the lens area provides distance correction.

Photochromics

Transition easily between indoor light and sunlight with Photochromics. Photochromics are available in Photogray Extra, Photobrown Extra, and Photogray Thin & Dark. Photochromics are available in all lens materials.

Glass Tints

Eyeglass tints are available in gray, green, and rose in varying densities of tint.

Scuba Mask

Your patient's eyeglass prescription can be added to their scuba mask for their best sight underwater.

High Index

Thinner, lighter high-index lenses are recommended for your patients who have a strong eyeglass prescription for nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism.

Pilot's Lenses

Frecker Optical creates Pilot's Lenses with Rx in both the upper and lower portions of the lenses for easy, natural vision when switching between instrument panel locations. These lenses are great for other occupations where near vision overhead is a priority.

Safety Lenses

Frecker Optical offers Shatter resistant lenses for chemistry labs, construction workers, manufacturing, and many other industries.  ANSI standard compliant prescription safety lenses.
